I just love going every Sunday. I find after Meeting that I feel as if I have been realigned in some way. I find I have more joy, delight, and spaciousness within me. It is a wonderful way to start a week. I really enjoy the people that attend, the conversations and sharing that are had are filled with wisdom and so very real for today. I also appreciate the care and concern that is expressed about social justice issues and our lives. They have become Friends. It is home.
Communal feeling as we gather together. Peaceful ambience to connect with God if that is what you wish to do. No rituals. Plain rooms/buildings with no adornment. Simplicity. Genuine, friendly people.
Two things: A sense of community / belonging. And a sense of freedom—to be myself and to explore avenues of spiritual significance to me.
I feel that it is my spiritual home – something that I’ve felt ever since my first meeting 20 years ago. The complete acceptance of the validity of my own journey without having to conform to any creeds, the deep Quaker values of Peace, Integrity, Simplicity and Equality that are deeply shared in the group but constantly open for exploration and ever deeper understanding are aspects that underpin every aspect of my life. Being in a place which is a genuinely level playing field, and spirituality is foundational, is wonderfully freeing.
I love the peace and quiet and being among like-minded folk. Being in a place which is a genuinely level playing field, and spirituality is foundational, is wonderfully freeing.

The people.
